Key Concepts

AI is a pattern predictor, not an encyclopedia—it predicts likely next words based on training patterns.
When AI confidently invents a false date, quote, or science fact, we call that a 'hallucination.'
Fact-Check Detectives verify every important claim in at least two trusted sources (textbooks, encyclopedias, or teacher-approved sites).

Fact-Check Detective Challenge: Read 5 statements about the solar system or American history (3 true, 2 AI-invented myths). Work in pairs to spot the 2 invented claims using your classroom reference books.
